Mumbling on an empty stomach....

I don’t have much work experience, just 3 or 4 companies I have worked but what I realize is what leaves a lasting impression on you is your boss. I’ve not yet got any monster of a boss but one of the boss I had in a particular company was one of the best persons anyone could get as a boss.

As said earlier my data is limited as I’ve not had much people to work under and I’m sure my views may change 10 years down the line. I have just read or heard about charisma or charismatic people never seen or interacted with one… but Mohammed was different…you see him from far approaching and there’s something about him that fills the room with positivity….and to add to all this he’s not a small person, tall enough to make you take notice….he’s that kind of a person who will leave an impression on you by just interacting with him for couple of minutes….probably that’s why even after offering a salary lesser than I had in mind I agreed when he asked me if he could work as his secretary…I of course said I wanted more, but wasn’t too pushy not at the thought of losing the offer, but with him you don’t feel like, you just don’t.

No wonder he is the Director of Sales, he knows how to sell and he really does it well in style and effortless. He makes sure even if it’s a garbage man that he talks with, the other person remembers him for a long long time.

I don’t have touch with him at all and my only interaction with him is on every Eid that I call and wish him. One particular eid I forgot and 3 days later I get a text message from him wishing me and my family Eid Mubarak, that’s Mohammed.

He is one hardcore coffee drinker, consistent enough with many Jordanians like him, starts his day with a coffee, black no sugar on a French Press, it’s him who introduced me to what a French Press / Percolator or whatever you may call it as. After couple of hours it graduates to a Turkish coffee, again strong and no sugar. Has enough caffeine intake to make sure he is as energetic as it needs…..

Off topic but I was shocked to see the price rice this time when I went to India on vacation, ofcourse it had been 24 months since I last went to India but I never thought things would escalate so much…so much so that it offset all the advantages I got by a weak rupee against dollar. So technically even though I had more Rs per Saudi Riyal since things were much much more costlier it dint serve any purpose, for example a juice which was 20 is now 30, a slice of cucumber with pickle which was 1 or 2rs max is 5 now, ccd used to cost us like 100rs for 2 people, now its like 250 for 2. I went to Hotel Rahmath and had just one chicken curry of some sort and 3 kerala parathas and I got a bill for 144Rs, I had never paid more than 50 bucks there. A bloody simple lime juice is now 10 bucks…

Another remarkable change I found when I went this time was the increase in inter state employees at various places… I go to the ccd and I’m greeted by a guy from Karnataka, I go to the once iconic Satheesh for a quick shave and it’s a UP wala, I go to a petrol bunk en route some place called kolapuram in malapuram district to have something called as Al faham but no way close to the actual and a disgrace to the actual ( but hey as long as you taste a better one this one is good enough) and the guy at the petrol bunk was a Bihari, I go to handsome for a trim on my nikkah day and again welcomed by hindi speaking guy…

I’m not like that Bal thakarey guy in Mumbai, I don’t have an issue if you people come here and work and earn an honest days work, in fact I would be a hypocrite if I did that as I studied in Tamil Nadu and worked in Karnataka and Saudi Arabia so I have no say, but my only objection is that if your entering retail sector or anything where you have direct contact with the customer then please please learn the language, the guy sitting and getting a haircut before me was struggling to tell the hairdresser what he wanted and so was the old lady in ccd when she was saying she wanted the cake but cut in so and so way.

I’m sure I might get asked the same question if I learnt kannada or Arabic, but hey I don’t get locals to interact with so that point is invalid and makes no sense…what doesn’t make even more sense is why I wasn’t nervous on my wedding day…I had heard friends colleagues batchmates etc about their big day and how they all felt nervous and it was normal to have some butterflies in the stomache….it is so normal that if you weren’t freaking out then there’s something wrong about you…

I laughed and said yuck at some of the lines in my blog post written way back in 2009 and I’m sure 5 years down the line same is gonna happen for the above, but hey what the heck, its only me who writes and reads it.

Till Laters, See You When I See You….
Ciao

Paper - the forgotten hero

The amount of paper we use/waste in our offices is really disturbing and scary, more so because you can't do anything as its beyond your control.
A small of team of ~25 employees itself add an average of 100+ sheets to the waste bin on any given day, i wonder how much our entire office wastes in a day, probably could fill in the public library with it after a year.

I suggested couple of them to try printing double sided unless its to be given to a customer and I got the look as if I was extra-terrestrial.
I'm glad I didn't suggest them the whole list of things i had in mind to them, probably would have got fired for attempting to think beyond my salary scope.

That said I like the initiatives taken by the government and some private companies in reducing like the decision to send Annual reports to shareholders by PDF and not printed, allowing commuters to show e-ticket on cell phone instead of print outs, charging for shopping bags so that they use only required or bring their own etc

I remember during school days the postman used to delivery lots of printed annual reports to our house as granddad had bought shares, not that he used to invest a lot but he used to buy less shares but in more companies to keep his basket mixed up. I've never seen him even touch any of those reports, end of the year, grand-mom just ties it up and we sell it for paper money and it ends up in one of those street hawkers hand who uses it for wrapping around whatever is that he sells. Now that doesn't happen thanks to it being sent as PDF.

Sad the "average" Indian movie goer is indeed "below-average" in his taste.

Sad the average Indian movie goer is indeed below-average in his taste.
Classic example of bullshit over sense
How else do you explain the collection of this certain new movie? You know which movie I'm talking about :(
It's sad that it's breaking records of a movie like 3 idiots when it's no way close it in any matter of film making/ technicality /script or acting
We clap hard on mediocrity and we will obviously keep getting more of it only, since that's what we're applauding...
I don't think our script writers are less talented or that they can't make much more sensible films minus the extra masala. Yes, masala is needed but only to a certain extent beyond that is too much. Once in a while sensible movies also come but sadly they go unnoticed. Most of such moves are noticed only when on award nite's they bag an award for something (mostly technical criteria or script) and we go like which movie is that and then we try to get a copy of that movie and we see it and we're like this is nice ,how did we miss in this theatre. Well, we missed it bcos
  1. It never made to the theatre since multiplex owners dint think they will get their Gandhi back bcos it dint have the mass hype that a clichéd 6-pack showing, controversy struck, mms leaked ,item number sparkling movie has
  2. The film made to the theatre but dint stay long since people weren't interested in seeing that on a Sunday evening with their friends but rather breaking their head on a brainless comedy
I recall same was the state of affairs for critically acclaimed movies like 'Wednesday' ,'Aamir' or the most recently in news film "Well done abba", I know many like me haven't seen the movie but it received this years national award for best movie on social issues.
I'm not saying I'm any different from the average Indian movie goer. Even I had seen the poster/flex for well done abba in forum mall when I was in Bangalore for my major project in March but dint give it enough importance as it lacked the usual power house cast that movies now a days come with.
I don't believe our movie which we are talking about will eventually surpass the overall collection as 3 idiots had a lot of repeat audience including myself and do not see that happening with this. Even if t has then I don't expect it be having the same impact across demographics unlike idiots which appealed to a larger cross section of audience in domestic as well as overseas markets.
This post is inspired by two things ,one being my hangover after a certain movie where I wasted a beautiful Tuesday morning and other one being a quote which my very good friend Prince Harhsan said about movies " I'm not a fan of mediocrity"
It's been at least 8 months since my last blog update and feels nice to be back on my blog. Never thought I had it in me to again write a long post but yay I've crossed more than 500 words.

Exam Blues :(

The rule used for representing the learning curve effect states that the more times a task has been performed, the less time will be required on each subsequent iteration.....which means the more exams i write the faster i can get out of the exam hall....lol....how true....

Trance after an STP

That's Y Food

ive heard of people getting into a trance and all but dint know what it meant untill this happened....

couple of weeks back (to be precise the day when HDFC came for placement) i and Surya went to grab a bite at leiden in kmall....we were talking and he was telling me something about the STP (Segmentation, targeting and positioning) of thats Y food....well if you are  surprised at what we were talking i'm sorry, 2 yrs of Mba has made a paradigm shift to the way my head works when i see stuff...... the moment i step into a restaurant or for that matter any retail outlet subconsciously my head does an STP analysis (btw even though 's' is not a vowel it ''an'' stp and not ''a'' stp as taught in elementary school...
Bcos they wrongly taught us that 'an' should be used before a vowel....they should have taught us to use 'an' before a vowel sound and not a vowel....example its 'a' university and not 'an' university bcos its spelt yuni-ver-sity and y is not a vowel and similarly like in the above case its Es-tee-pee where 'e' is a vowel, oh i'm getting carried away)
haan so where were we , yes were talking or rather he was talking and i was keenly listening....infact not only listening but also trying to figure out if what he said was making logical sense and i dint agree to something and i was doing my own analysis at the back of my head......so there's like a lot off things happening in my head...i'm listening, analyzing, trying to make my own conclusion and also

eating chips and enjoying the taste....
i take the sauce in my left hand......
take out the bun from my burger and aim the nozzle of the sauce bottle to the centre of the burger and i go round round making a jilebi like pattern with the sauce but i realize ive apllied lot of sauce and some get on to my right hand and my right hand starts sticking.....this is when i realize i was in a trance while doing the sauce stuff because what i was pouring was not sauce but actually MAAZA....yes gentlemen and ladies i poured maaza into the burger patty instead of sauce......if ure not laughing ure ass out there could only be three reasons....
a) i might have already told u this story
b) you might be a too serious person like Mr......lol.....i wont say the name....some faculty might be reading....so guess ureself...
or
c)pure failure on my part to narrate a story to u on my blog...

whatever it is at the end of it i asked surya why he dint stop me from pouring maaza into the burger instead of the sauce.....and his reaction was..."oye damn it, i thot i was in a trance bcos y shuld my eyes see some1 pouring maaza into his burger"......
and if ure wondering how it tasted visualize sczhezwan chicken tasting like butter chicken....lol i was juz kidiing....it wasnt that bad cos the bun had soaked up all the maaza....hehe....

talking about bun reminds me of this new place called coffee woods....well address is take right after hopes (towards singanallur) .... 20 meters and u will see it on the right side......if i can see it you can and you will because if u cant then u probably couldn't read this ....... its a nice place, decent interiors.....air conditioned.....sofas....bean bags....magazines......pizza.....burgers....sandwich......coffee etc......say a normal burger for 5o or 60 and a jumbo for 70......and the chicken inside the burger is the golden yellow brown patty not the one u get at burger hub or Leiden .......well talking about their long term feasibility they should be able to pull off the trick once GRD is back in action.....i guess they are having leave or something after exams......bcos for some1 in GRD there is no decent place to shell out dads money in the vicinity......the closest is CCD in peelamaedu i guess.....correct me if ive missed out any on the way......so i feel their targer audience will be majorly GRD.....rich spoilt brats......i seriously don't expect much sale from Psg Cas cos i'm an alumni and i know...

Back to blogging.....after one trime

hmmmm....Its been long....I must say I’ve lost touch.....like hell I’ve lost touch.....I'm not even getting what to type.....OMG....I feel blank.....blank as ever.....in a mood to blog but thoughts not flowing....samething that happens in an exam.....I know I have to write lots to fill the pages but things juz refuse to flow from the pen....in laymans language I say I don’t have the ability to bullshit in the paper.....I know u won’t agree with that fact because you can BS and in your eyes since u can Bs any1 and every1 should be able to BS because u don’t find it difficult or u describe it as a survival instinct cos u don’t have to be good at it....its a survival instinct because u know if u don’t bs u wont fill the papers....hmmm....ok don’t wanna get into an arguement with u now....
Placements have started and I see a change in ppls attitude...when initially we joined we were like we expect this much $ nd all but now when hiring is less we are like we juz want a decent job in a decent company with a decent salary.....talking abt me I always wanted to be a pilot as a child.....I know that’s the most preferred

choice among boys when they are small....other common ones could be police officers etc....later after I grew up a little I wanted to be a forklift operator for some odd reason....after couple of years I wanted to be a salesman at sony world or any other shop which sells electronic items or gadgets/gizmos......off late the last thing I remember before my present wish is I wanted to be a salesman at titan watches....yes titan not ROLEX....well mainly because the product portfolio caters to all income groups....you could get one for less than thousand as well as 40k also.....I also love the diversity they have in their collections viz
· Orion

· Fastrack
· Raga diva
· Raga flora
· Zoop
· Nebula
· Octane
· Heritae
· Edge
· etc
I mean the distinctness between the ranges are very clear and each collection is precisely targeted....I mean for example a person buying a gift for a wedding directly asks for Raga and a college/teenager asks for a fastrack......I'm not very sure how many watch makers do it this grandly....now coming back to the point......so the reason I wanted to be a salesman is not only because of the love towards watches but also because of the lack of knowledge that some salesman selling watches have which I’ve seen in various shops.....I mean its not a vegetable shop damn it....at least try to learn the basics....I'm sometimes very confused regarding my long term vision.....I tell people when they ask that I want to be a restaurateur with outlets all over india.....but I’ve never said this out to any1...nd this is the first time I'm saying that I also wouldn’t mind having a chain of watch shops across India.....mind you not the normal watch shop that you got to or have been till now but something radically different from the present ones.....say the guy showing the watch would be wearing black suit and white gloves to show the watch and say after the experience you will say next time I'm gonna buy a watch it will be here only.....not even remotely sure if any of these will be remotely plausible atleast....it sure is difficult but not impossible.....god willing I will be having one of

those 2 dreams a reality.....hmmm....so what else about watches....lemmee think....I love watches....lol....I guess I said that already once......hehhe....I have such a bond with my watches that 99% of the times when I go out ill wear and make sure three things I don’t forget to take while going out are cell, wallet and a watch......the oly times I don’t wear my watch are when I’ve forgotten it or else when I'm very depressed I purposefully don’t wear it as a sign of anger/protest.....but the same watch is also the first thing I get ridoff the moment I enter home......I’ve also lost 2 watches....cut from watches, its getting too boring...hmmm what else....
ya got it....today went to a restaurant to have lunch....the kitchen was visible...as in there was juz a see thru glass separating the seating area and the kitchen.....I mean that needs confidence on the part of the any restaurateur to show his kitchen to you....I mean how gud ever the restaurant, maintaining a clean kitchen is not that easy especially at busy places....I did this small project/assignment kind of thing at Taj Residency Calicut for 18 days ( not the way we ppl do it over here, was actual 8hrs per day)....and I had the opportunity to see their kitchen and I saw this chef doing the icing on a cake....and I couldn’t believe the number of flies that were sitting on the other cakes yet to be iced....there are a lot of thing I learnt from my very very short time there....I remember seeing this board near the register where u sign your attendance mornings.....it said “whatever happens, the guest is always righ

t” ( btw in hospitality industry people are never referred to as customers but guests).....I donno why but that one single board that you see every day morning has such a big impact because that’s the first thing u read every day morning when u enter for work.....the other things I learnt of their practices were there's a telephone etiquette they are supposed to strictly follow.....the guidelines were written on the notice board....it read....
The phone should be picked within three rings

  • Never say hello
  • Instead with the following format
  • Greeting+ your department+ your name+how may I help u or any similar line
For example: Good morning..Front office...this is fazin.....how may I help you sir....
oh btw this format actually reminds me of a small incident that happened to my UG roommate Rohit....he was doing his 6month internship at The Park Hyatt, Goa and his work kept rotating every month and he was once working in bakery or something and next day he gets transferred to market grill and when the phone rings....he says....gud evening bakery, rohit here..May I help you....and unfortunately it was the executive chef (executive chef is the highest position in the organisational chart inside the food and beverages production department) that had called and chef was like.. "rohit, please look around".......ok you might not find that funny because you don’t know him....Lol......oh btw why have I shifted to this topic suddenly.....where was I.....
haan.....got it.....I was talking about ho dirty/unhygienic the kitchens can be.....oh talking about hygiene reminds me of a funny situation that happened to me involving womans’ hygiene product......this was like way back in 2007......I was shopping in medium sized shop called Anona in Calicut and I had gone for buying stuff and specifically for a particular note book also....when I picked the book the whole lot of 10 books fell on the ground.....so me being a good boy sat down(yes literally) and started putting the books back and arranging it......any1 who saw me could mistaken be for being a salesman/(sales boy rather at that time without a moustache and all).....so this is what happens.....I'm arranging the books and a lady comes behind me and

  • lady: excuse me?
  • Me: yes
  • L: can u take for me whisper ultra max with wings or some crap.....
  • M:(gulp)(not wanting to embarrass the woman, trying to hold my laughter back )please come....
  • L: ok
I took it and gave it to her from the rack and she was like not regular....I searched and I got it for her.....after 5 mins I got my stuff and was standing in the counter and she was standing in the other counter.....oh my god.....I cannot explain the look she had on her face.....it was priceless and not explainable in words in a blog......oh god we again off tracked as usual from titan to kitchens to what not.....
I donno why but I don’t have a sense of confidence to go more normal....maybe it’s because it’s been long since I’ve blogged......but then some genius or rather genie-ass said to me y do u bother about the reader, juz write what u feel like writing.....never restrain yourself and hinder your thought-typing process by filtering.....talking about filtering my content......if I start typing what I really feel like typing then I will get an "A" rating for my blog because as of now I feel like blogging about alcohol and about PSGIM......
talking about alcohol.....I remember some1 asking me what Drink Responsibly mean? I said its without troubling others and without troubling yourself.....heheh.....There are lot of excuses than reasons for one to drink, once my friend X said, I just drink two days in a year, the day when it rains and the day when it

is not raining. When will he end his bachelor life? Because in our community girls are very much concerned about Alcohol, they don’t want to spoil their life by marrying someone who drowns his life in Alcohol......at end I would like to end by a famous quote

If drinking is interfering with your work, you're probably a heavy drinker. If work is interfering with your drinking, you're probably an alcoholic.
cheers.....happy blogging
take care

Ahlan Wasahlan-....err....i mean Welcome

Hello every one…not a normal hello…but a hello from the land of the Sheikhs…THE KINGDOM Of SAUDI ARABIA

where petrol’s cheaper than water….no not kidding…one litre of drinking water is 12Rs and one litre of petrol is around 8 Rs (btw in case u wondering how cheap Diesel is..it’s 3.36 Rs,don’t ask me about aviation fuel now, go find out ureself..)….wow isn’t it??…it’s when I come here that I understand how lucky these Arabs are cos of cheap petrol..if u notice the car advertisements here there’s one thing u’ll notice u won’t see the mileage written anywhere…I’ve stayed here for 15 odd years and never in my life seen the word mileage in any car advertisement let it be print or Tv etc..instead every company boasts about the number of horse power it generates or the number of cylinders it has….in fact Chevrolet has certain car models especially tailored for the middle eastern market produced which u don’t get in even the US of A bcos they are normal family cars with 8 and 12 cylinders and are not feasible to sell in other markets bcos of bad mileage…

But there’s a flip side to this place which I don’t like….u don’t get things in loose quantities here like India…I mean u can’t buy one pencil or one A4 paper or one cigarette…U’ll have to buy the entire box of 12 pencils or entire box of 20 cigs from the shop…..and sad thing is they don’t have all these trial packs that’s available back in the Great Sovereign Democratic Republic of INDIA..trial packs like shampoo sachets, 5rs dairy milk or 2rs chota tiger biscuits….oh btw talking abt high prices here, I forgot my tablets (if ure wondering which tablets read my old post abt my mumbo jumbo with the Doc)…so ya I forgot to pack my omaprazole tablets and since I dint want to break the course I bought it from here….now what’s great in that right?? I’m coming to it….i bought 30 tabs for 100Rs in India and that thing when I buy from here (locally manufactured in SA) it cost me 80 Saudi riyals which is close to 900/Rs…..what the &*%$!!!...I need a calci to compute the percentage increase but I know it’s a 3 digit figure so not calculating…..

ok now let’s rewind a little bit and restart the story from India….I flew to Saudi via Emirates airlines which took off at around 9.40 pm from Calicut…the announcement on board by the crew advised us to switch off the cell phones as it supposedly would hinder with navigational aid….since me being a obedient passenger I switched off the cell after sending one final text to one of my friends..then after we took off like say after 30 mins when the flight was cruising at 887kmph and at a mind boggling 11,200 feet I switched on my cell and I was shocked….

bcos immediately after I switched on there was full tower and showing AIRTEL/aerospace and then I got an SMS….i was like what the bull?? A text message at 11,200 feet…..when I slowly opened and read it…..it read….“nice post…have commented on ure blog”…..(it was a text message from one of my loyal blog readers)….I still haven’t got over that incident where I get full range on my cell and receive a text message at that altitude when I was maybe over the Arabian Sea……but there’s more to it….when I touched down at Dubai international airport my phone switched from AIRTEL/aerospace to normal Airtel which meant that Airtel had pre-activated international roaming on its numbers….which is like awesome cos I don’t remember the last time when I came here me having it…

Now cut from airport and into one of my favourite topics which uncharacteristically I’ve never spoken abt it in my blog….and I feel ashamed….cos fazinically speaking I’m not me if I haven’t talked abt food and photography…..food ive already talked abt in a earlier post (restaurants) but still I’m tempted to talk again…..photography can wait now….talking abt air travel and food there’s one thing that comes to my mind immediately..that’s great food….

u get great food on board most of the flights be it for breakfast lunch or dinner but the sad part is u wont enjoy it as much as u’ll enjoy it while at sea level or at least on 20th floor of any hotel for that matter….the reason being ure TASTE BUDS in ure tongue are not at its best or at its full potential at 10,000ft altitude which means what u taste at that height is not what it actually tastes like….it tastes way better at ground level….sad…can’t help it…..now cut….and action to other topic photography….if u aren’t interested skip and go to next paragraph….I’m least interested in lecturing to an uninterested person…ok this is an article I read somewhere on national geographic….

it’s something abt MEGAPIXELS in cameras…..how many megapixels is gud enuf?…..the reason they did this study was bcos of the increasing megapixel war among the different makers like Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Pentax ,Kodak etc…(don’t ask me y I dint include Sony Cybershot in the list, I dint cos I think Sony, Samsung et all should make what they make best that’s TV and shut their mouth when it comes to diversification….i mean I don’t see a day far in which Britannia will make cameras and LG making bottled drinking water and Jk tyres making underwears….i mean y u laughing…..did u know that Raymonds who makes suiting materials also makes contraceptives..…don’t believe me….go to the raymond’s website(http://www.raymondindia.com/off_pc_ks.asp)

(oh btw talking abt raymond’s, u have any idea what’s the costliest products they have?? it’s actually a suit cloth, that also not stitched just the material….it costs a mind boggling or rather wallet swallowing 6 lakh rupees….don’t believe me??go to the any big raymonds showroom like Mumbai or B’lore and ask for suit with count “SUPER 240”…that’s the thing u shuld look for,the count..) So what I was saying is diversification has gone to such an extent that companies have started making everything and anything regardless related or not, another funny example is ITC making cigarettes and also Classmate notebooks….no way related right…..talking abt related I’m talking something not related to photography cos I got carried away so lemme continue….)

Ok so what national geographic did was they took a photo of a child sitting on a sofa in three qualities…..viz 6 megapixel ,10 and 14…..and they took big prints of this and stuck it on a wall in the busy times square in New York and asked all the passerby’s to identify which was from a 6,10 and 14 mp shots……

99.9% of ppl couldn’t identify….only 1 could….that too cos he was a photography doctorate holder and a professor teaching photography in the university…….no one else could……so what am I trying to say here…..??.....I’m not saying more mp does not account to more quality…..of course it does but beyond 6 or 7 mp it’s not of any perceivable difference unless it’s printed to a very large size like a banner or a big A1 size poster……for normal prints that u take up to even A3 size it doesn’t make a hell or heaven lot of difference…..another area where more mp’s make a difference is when u zoom into a pic to see more detail….so pics taken with more mp’s u can zoom in further with decent quality viewable…..and the last application of more mp’s is when u do lot of tight cropping or when ure too bad at composing pics that u always take a long shot and then crop a small part of it to print or use…..ill explain that with an example….say u take a shot of a family pic with say 14 members in it and after u put the pic on ure PC u see the baby’s smile so cute that u want to cut it and print it as a separate stand alone photo then it’s nothing but technically zooming in or taking a very huge print…so in such situations extra mp’s count and 10 mp 12 mp and 14 mp’s make a difference…..if ure confused after reading this paragraph I’m sorry…..I tried my best to convey what I had in mind abt this issue….

Over the last 2 days I read some random blogs of various people (includes u tiger) and after I read I felt so ashamed I even thought of stopping blogging forever…the content they speak, the usage of words, the vocabulary, writing style is so awesomely awesome that i got such a bad inferiority complex reading other blogs that I’m be tempted of divorcing from my blog…..it’s not a decision taken, just a thought that had come across my mind….i might do it if I come across more such good blogs……in fact I’m jealous of those people who have lot of readers and around 30 odd comments for each post where as I’m stuck here stuck here with 8 people reading(yes I counted)….and that too I have to call and force some of them to read my blog…and god know how many of them simply say nice post bcos they can’t bluntly say on my face “ehh ya it was ok,I dint understand anything and nothing great…all crap only..it’s not ure cup of coffee….don’t waste u’re time on this Fazin ”….are there really people existing like that who can actually tell like that on others face?....i mean if u call me and say I’ve updated my blog pls read….obviously I’ll read and I’ll comment that it was good….come on man he/she’s my friend, how can I say it was bad…..oh ya I cannot leave a comment itself if I dint like it….hmmm…..but then I still insist u better leave a comment on mine regardless u like it or not….what u write is ure wish constructive criticism or blunt brickbats I don’t mind….bcos as long as comments come it’s a testimony that u are writing for an audience not for oneself…well I don’t know if 8 people can be called an audience….. bcos if it’s for oneself I could rather write a Diary instead of a blog…..what else??....oh btw I’m burning here cos the temperature here in the day time is 48C….and if u don’t know how

much that is make water boil and put ure hand in it….the pain and heat u’ll suffer is 100c….so 48c is like half the pain, scream, doctors fee, burn spray etc….ok I know that was a pathetic way of describing 48C…

Oh I read a funny thing on the newspaper here….it showed a pic of a lady who’ll be the first lady pilot in the kingdom….the irony is women aren’t allowed to drive here but they can fly an airplane….lol…..thats ultra funny…..now from funny to something not so funny….ive been out of the country for the past 15 days when I type this line and these 15days I felt the importance or rather I must say influence of internet on me…for the past 2 weeks I dint have access to internet

nor the mind boggling 65 channels on cable or the extravaganza of 10p calls on airtel…was real trying days these..felt like as if I was under some house arrest or rather living in north korea (FYI google abt life in north korea, I can’t sit here and explain everything)…I mean life was tough bcos my normal daily routine comprised of at least 2 hours on orkut , facebook ,yahoo mail and you tube and occasionally some sports sites…the only reprieve I had in this boredom was my camera with which I used to eat sleep and drink but there also a problem occurred as I thought of clicking flowers and the only one’s I could find were cactus, lol….okey juz kidding, middle east is not that bad…we do have vegetation here…in fact Saudi Arabia is the largest producer of pomegranate also not only petrol….oh guess what I did a small study about impact of global recession here and the facts that people said were startling….they said its affected a in UAE but not much in Saudi…its seems turnover had increased in most of the sectors and very very few sectors have been hit by recession….most of them laughed when I asked about recession here….they were like “whats that dude?”…..my friends who works in company here said they are not able to supply to their buyers even after being at full capacity and he was saying Nestle has started construction a new factory in dubai….even on the roads when I noticed there was no shortage of luxury and ultra premium segment cars released this year, roads were filled with top of the line cars as has been the case even before recession era….even banking sector has not been affected testified by numerous new branches opening in various parts of the city,I fact there are more bank branches scattered lavishly than normal shops..hehe…..another thing I noticed over here this time around which has significant importance to make its way on to this blog is about their increasing coffee drinking habits…the number of coffee shops

I saw was beyond my counting capabilities…..i’m not only referring to big chains like starbucks having lot of outlets I’m also reffering to a hell lot of independent coffee shops as lavish and splendid as the MNC’s….talking abt coffee….lemme go have my coffee….ciao….and ya pls leave ure comments..
