I Hate Projects and Breakfasts BUT..........

Sheesh…..donno y this always happens to me that I only blog when its raining outside….I guess perfect recipe for me to get typing a new post on the blog is rainfall,no show on tv and low balance on cell and loads of boredom….was juz thinking what’ll happen after rainy season is over…

Ok so welcome back to another HOPEFULLY info-taining post at myblahz…..its been long since last post….got a lot of ideas but dint have a personal secretary like obama to type it for me…..talking abt obama pls check this link if ure free…  http://www.flickr.com/photos/whitehouse/

Back to blogging….where do I start….ill talk something about what’s happening in my life now and then go to some other crap….talking of crap reminds me of an AD that I saw yesterday….a reliance communications AD with hrithik and a kid….now whats crap in that u’ll be thinking…..well…next time juz notice the cell he’s using…..he’s using a NOKIA where as supposedly hrithik is a sony ericsson(had to google to get ericssons spelling rite…lol) brand ambassador……

year or two back there was some other ad on somewhat same lines…..it was an American express Ad featuring Abhi-ShaKE bachan but the ad looked like it was a Moto RAZR Ad cos majority of screen space was occupied by his phone and not the card…..lol…that’s old news and ive already started deviating from the main point I was about to say…

haah….where was i??yes summer project….that itself can be an entire new post but
will include in this…..initially I went to a company X for enquiring if they gave summer project and they were like yes please have a seat and I was almost sure of doing it there till this happened…they told me the project….he said there is a thing called “Softner” which is used in bakeries….they are used while making puffs bread and cakes…..i was like OK, and…..he was like I have to go to 100 bakeries and find out what softner each baker was using……I told him I’ll come there the next day…..there was never a next day….come on yaar 100 bakeries u think I can juz go and ask them about their ingredients and they’ll co-operate…..i’ll get kicked out the next moment thinking I’m some food inspector or some thief or some competitor bakery owners son….before I continue I’ll recommend some suggested readings…..its déjà Moo’s blog http://kingpin-yadayada.blogspot.com/

Getting back to summer project……so then after rejecting that offer I settle with a better sounding project with a Construction company who makes flats and I was supposed to
a questionnaire on customer satisfaction and get it filled by the tenants…….dont ask what happened next cos getting questionnaires filled by people was not like what I thought it was……of course I dint expect red carpet welcome with army parade and band but still expected decent response….this is what happens…..i ring the bell and the tenant or technically speaking my interviewee looks through the door hole and see’s a boy in his 20’s with a sling bag and a bunch of papers in his hand and a pen open and ready for writing and an anxious nervous face….oh btw that too in formals with polished shoe tucked in shirt and belt….(well the last time I was in this setup was during admission procedure of TOLEDO students new batch, ahem for obvious reasons…..but that is all together another tragedy which will form backbone of another post some day)….so where was i…..yes…my prey opens the door very slowly and has a beaming smile on his face but doesn’t open the door full….say juz enuf for his head to pop out….then I introduce myself saying I’m coming from so and so company and we are doing a small survey on customer satisfaction…..the moment they hear survey the smile which was :-D becomes :-| and door closes even more say enuf juz for his one eye to pop out……
so I say my dialogue “
sir,you don’t need to fill it now….take your time and I’ll come tomorrow same time to get it back or else leave it with the security pls”
the moment they hear that its back to :-D and the door is fully open…..we’ll I’m not saying all are like that…..there was this particular person called joshi who actually allowed me inside and offered me ehhh not tea but a chair to sit..lol….how I wish every1 was like him……I was juz wondering if this was tuff how wuld the bakery experience have turned out to be…

Talking abt experience reminds me of what happened to me yesterday with the doctor

  • Doctor: you have to stop spicy food
  • Fazin:huh!!!!!!!!! Forever…..impossible doctor….
  • Doc:no juz for a couple of months…
  • Faz:ok ill try,but I don’t think it will happen…
  • Doc:no problem for me, u’ll keep coming back to me…
  • Faz:oh ladatt then no probs ill try to reduce..( btw what reduce I went to restaurant at night straight after that and ordered Dragon chicken and I told the waiter please make it extra spicy…..lol..)
  • Doc:what did u have for breakfast?
  • Faz:ehhh…Tea!
  • Doc:and..?
  • Faz:and nothing!
  • Doc:what abt yesterday?
  • Faz:well,doc…..i don’t have breakfast…..haven’t had it in years…
  • Doc: ( turning into daddy and mummy mode) no wonder ure having all this nausea and acidity and gastro problems…….juz have breakfast every day and ull be totally fine…..
So moral of story is fazin has learnt it the hard way so I advice all my million blog readers…..eh…million???ok juz kidding….Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a commoner and dinner like a pauper else u mite end with the doctor like me……..

Oh shit its stopped raining…..bbye gotta go…..and another thing going to Saudi tomorrow evening…..i juz hope something bloggable happens on the trip so that I can post…..lol….till we meet again happy blogging, happy eating and drive safely and ya drink responsibly if at all u are!

Hey where u going??? Leave ure comments then go….

Rains and Restaurantz!

Hmmm…lets see..not typing this new post cos I’m jobless but just because it’s raining outside heavily and can’t go out because of that…damn…either ways at least because of that i become jobless and end up typing now…..what do I talk about today that might keep u interested till the end of the post….mmm….lemme see…..shit…..i’m not getting any……its sad cos when I have topics I don’t feel like typing and when I feel like typing I don’t get topics…..ok ill tell something about some peculiar customers who comes at my dad’s restaurant.

There is this one gentleman who comes every Thursday nights and the unique thing about him is not that that he comes regularly every Thursday but that he orders the same stuff every time he comes….in fact after couple of Thursdays he doesn’t need to order because the waiter knows by heart what soup, appetizer side dish and main course he needs….i feel its kindoff odd or should I say funny to have such a customer who eats same thing every Thursday nite…lol !!

Then there is another family who comes regularly, it’s a husband wife and a kid…..a small brat I must say….ok now these people are not monotonous like the above guy….it’s not what they order that leaves an impact but something else…we donno why or how this happens but it so happens that everytime this family comes their kid breaks the drinking glass….hmmm…sad that we can’t charge for that glass….so everytime they come 1 glass is raam raam sathya hain….cant help that!!

Ok the third unique category of customers is a bunch of girls/ladies…..hmm…they don’t come to the restaurant to enjoy the food….they come for some other reason….they view the restaurant as some bunker or some veil from outside world…the thing is we got family section and as is the case in Saudi Arabia the family section is normally in a cabin like structure giving good privacy….so what do they come for…..any guesses…they come to SMOKE…..hehe…..yup….they just order some side dish or dessert just for formality so that they can sit there for enough time to finish their Marlboro’s ….

Talking about restaurants what differentiate Arab customers from we Indians is that taste of the food is not of supreme importance to them in a family restaurant…as in yes it is important but not as important as their top priority that is ambiance…..they give too much weightage to ambience….if the ambience which includes the lighting, the paint colors, decoration, layout ,size, furniture, fixtures etc is good they’ll come back for sure even if food is not extraordinary.

I’m sorry if this post was not entertaining or infotaining but none the less its stopped raining outside so I gotta go……keep blogging and happy eating and ya of course leave your comments pls….
Cheers
